“I am the one who talks to me in my darkest moments. I’m the only one who really knows my deepest fears and pains, and the inner turmoil I have suffered. I’m the one with the power to put myself down or build myself up with my inner self talk. Other people can support, hold, love, encourage, guide and teach me but I am still the most important person who can make the choice to always love and be there for me – and I will.
I’ll be there for me.”

Yes,I am the one… Thanks for the introspective piece.

I agree w/ this statement, as far as it goes. However, I would add that God does know our deepest fears and pain. He is there in our darkest hours, though others may forsake us. ❤

Lovely quote, and very applicable. Thank you. Off topic but… is that view from West Wind Pass?

Haha 😂 Yes it is. We hiked there yesterday. We did Wasoootch Ridge and Rae glacier last weekend.

Nice! It’s been a few years since I was there, and that was during one of the bad forest fires. What is really cool is the view at the end of the lake to Tent Ridge, which is where I was yesterday. Theoretically, we could have been looking across at each other!

I love Spray lake. We often canoe there. It’s so empty and peaceful. We did to the ridge of Tent Ridge many years ago but there was snow on the ridge itself so we didn’t want to chance it. Looking forward to reading your review and perhaps we’ll try it again before the summer is over 😊

Good for you to be cautious there with snow. A snowshoer died in an avalanche a few years back, and there was another huge slide there last winter.
It is definitely a route worth doing multiple times. I was taking a few members of the Highwood Cycling Club on a hike. The wind wasn’t too bad until we got onto the return loop. Here is the trip report. Please let me know if you go. Enjoy!

If I had to depend on myself, I’d be in big trouble! I would say all that, replacing “I” with “God.” 😉
